RESULTS 2020 Soling 1M Thursday Series #5

A good evening of sailing with some light winds and a few shortened courses. Jim won but had to miss the last race after grounding on Mount Bugden and breaking the gooseneck during recovery. The conditions made for a lot of close racing and some shuffling of the order.

Hope to see some more sailors on the pond this weekend!

A fabulous afternoon with wind that challenged everyone in every race. With constant wind shifts and velocity changes, nobody was safe and places were gained and lost on every leg.

Soling 1M Thursday Series #2 – June 18, 2020

A fun turnout of seven boats, we could race normally without being focused on distancing as guidelines were relaxed today. Bob Boutilier was the big winner, but everyone had fun anyway.

2020 Soling 1M Sunday Series #1

Sunday series #1 was held on Sunday June 14, 2020 at Sullivan’s Pond.
We had a nice fleet but no wind, so the decision was made to abandon the Opening Regatta to Sunday June 21, 2020 to allow for a few more people to emerge from hibernation and have some wind.

Boots won the day by 1 point in some silly sailing conditions.

2020 Soling 1M Thursday Series #1

Our first recorded event of the season is the Thurday Soling 1M Series event #1. There will be a winner declared at seasons end based on the total results for the year.

Attendance will affect the overall scoring so try to make it out as much as possible.

2020 Pond News

Sullivan’s Pond is ice free! again, and likely to remain so now. The thankless task of setting the buoys can now get underway when the thankless task crew gets around to it.

Ben checked out the Cranberry Pond and sent some pictures, complete with on-site model.
