Canada Day Special Event
This day was a little different with Jim and Boots running four seeding races with no drop races to set the field for some exciting short course match racing. We also experimented with a longer course making the starting line at one end of the pond and the weather mark at the other. This made the first beat longer and reduced the need for offsets.

2021 Frostbite Regatta
We had a smaller turnout for the final regatta of 2021. Some people are heading south for the winter while others are busy getting ready for the snow. The wind did not provide the best conditions but the sun was warm and it was a good day to be on the water.
Brian Lugar sailed in his first regatta and did a respectable job of getting around the course. As a newcomer, he gets a 20-second early start until he wins a race and he was able to stay close until the end in a few races.
In the end, Jim Goddard won the event with four firsts and a second and gets to end the season on a high note.
Thanks to all those who made it out today and watch your inbox for the notice of our Annual General Meeting upcoming shortly.
2021 Club Championship
Gary Bugden won the day after some challenging wind conditions led to upwind broaches, downwind knockdowns, a dismasting and several breakdowns.
