2026-07-23 July Thursday Series #3

The evening started  with light winds that got lighter, how nobody was sure. A couple and their son showed an interest in what we were doing. Boats and lessons were given, along with an unofficial race postponement.

Sullivan’s Pond Swirly Monster was in fine forum. I think our monster had some competition fron the sea and land breeze. Three boats pointed in the same direction but on completely different tacks and points of sail. Water so smooth you could use it as a mirror to shave. One rescue was preformed close to shore. There was a fear that this boat and skipper might still be there come the Sunday race time. An intervention had to be performed.

One comment was made that all competitions agreed with. “We had more fun than if we were sitting at home watching the tube”.

Hope to see everyone Sunday afternoon.

N.B

As boats were packed up, the sea breeze asserted itself.
