We are inviting entries from both USA and Canada to a great weekend of Soling 1M sailing at the legendary Sullivan’s Pond in Dartmouth, NS.
The Canadians are the defending champions and like Team Canada in hockey we plan on claiming the title again.

“A Friendly Cross-Border Rivalry Continues”

Authority: This regatta is organized under the authority of the Canadian Radio Yachting Association (CRYA)and conducted by the Halifax Area Model Yacht Club (HAMYC) and its duly appointed Race
Committee. The regatta will be sailed on Sullivan’s Pond, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Objective: To promote a friendly, yet competitive, regatta – in the true Corinthian spirit – that will be scored on two levels: (1) Individual Performance, and (2) Team Performance (Canada vs. USA). The
emphasis is on the individual sailor; team racing, as defined in the RRS, is specifically
prohibited. The team scoring specifics will be covered in the Sailing Instructions, available at
Regatta Check-In.
Rules: This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (The RRS) as
modified by Appendix E, the Prescriptions of Sail Canada, the Equipment Rules of Sailing and the
Soling 1m Class Rules.
Eligibility: Registration will be accepted up to a maximum of 15 skippers on each of the Canadian and USA teams on a first come first served basis, based on the date registration is received. Entrants must
be current members of the CRYA, or their National Authority. Yachts must comply with the
current Soling 1m Class Rules.
Race Format: A heat-managed odd/even system will be used if the numbers of competitors or the conditions warrant. This will be determined solely by the Race Committee.

Measurement: Boats may be measured for class rules compliance at the regatta site before the start of the first race. Any measurement specified by the class rules may be checked by the Race Committee
prior to, during, and up to 30 minutes after the last race of the regatta. There is no maximum
number of races, however a minimum of 6 races must be completed to constitute this event.
Entry and Fees: Skippers may enter the regatta by completing the entry form online The entry fee is $75 and includes temporary CRYA membership for this event for members in good standing of other National Authorities, lunch on both days and two complementary drinks at the Friday Evening Social.

Entries must be received no later than August 24th.
Additional lunch tickets for those accompanying entrants will be $10
